BIO

Kamahl is a non-binary model born in London, raised in an indo-caribbean family. Whose relentless activism and writing (Royal Court Theatre) work has focused on identity, unlearning and learning. They are a model and a very active member of their QPOC LGBTQIA community, navigating all spaces in a black, non-binary, politicised body.

For the past nine years Kamahl has been an activist and advocate for the rights and visibility for QPOC LGBTQIA members. This work lead to them being invited to 10 downing street to speak to the then prime minister Theresa May MP on lack of opportunities for QPOC in London and the lack cultural competence within the British work places for QPOC. To relentlessly working alongside their local council since the age of sixteen to tackle youth violence within their community. As well as always being a vocal ally for their trans sisters and brothers whenever they can, who they love dearly
